It Starts With a Feeling...

There is a feeling that keeps calling me back to my mat.

It is difficult to put into words, yet I know it every time I experience it.

Some days it feels like joy.

Other days it feels like peace.

Sometimes it feels like strength.

Sometimes it feels like surrender.

But every single time, it feels like freedom.

Freedom in my body.

Freedom in my breath.

Freedom in my mind.

Freedom to simply be.

Yoga reminds me that I don’t have to have it all figured out.

Yoga reminds me that every breath is an opportunity to begin again.

Yoga reminds me that strength and softness are not opposites. They belong together.

Yoga reminds me that beneath the noise of everyday life, there is a quiet place within each of us where peace has been waiting all along.

And every time I step onto my mat, I find my way back to that place.

I leave with a grateful heart.

Grateful for this incredible body that carries me through life.

Grateful for each breath that reminds me I am alive.

Grateful for every challenge that helps me grow.

Grateful for the beautiful community that gathers, breathes, moves, laughs, and grows together.

That feeling is something I simply cannot keep to myself.

It naturally overflows into the way I teach.

There is nothing more meaningful than witnessing someone discover that same feeling within themselves.

To see a tense body soften.

To watch a worried mind become still.

To witness someone realize they are stronger, more capable, and more resilient than they ever believed.

Those moments fill my heart every single time.

They remind me that yoga is so much more than movement.

It is a journey back to ourselves.

A practice of presence.

A path of gratitude.

A way of living with greater awareness, compassion, and joy.

Teaching yoga has become one of the greatest blessings of my life because I have the privilege of walking beside others as they discover their own path.

I don’t believe we are meant to keep the light we discover within ourselves.

I believe we are meant to share it.

Sometimes that happens through the way we love.

Sometimes through the way we live.

And sometimes, it happens by holding space for someone else to remember their own strength, their own peace, and their own light.

If you’ve ever stepped off your mat feeling just a little more like yourself…

If you’ve ever wondered why yoga continues to call you back…

Maybe that feeling isn’t there by chance.

Maybe it is gently inviting you to explore a little deeper.

To learn.

To grow.

To discover not only what yoga can do for your life, but what your heart might one day offer to the lives of others.

Sometimes the greatest journey doesn’t begin with having all the answers.

It begins with saying yes to the quiet whisper within.

And trusting where it leads.
